Satellite Album Release Identity

2023 - digital, intaglio, screenprinting, embroidery

For the first album release of Rotterdam based band SESSIONS I created all merch and promotional materials.

The initial inspiration for the visual language was a satellite disc that had been used during the recordings as percussion element. The designs for the poster, album/casette cover and (wearable) merch were all derived from a set of pictures of this satellite disc, getting their grain over multiple rounds of screen and intaglio printing.

Wheels of Change

2023 - zine-making, digital, risograph printing

As a tool for transport, the bike is vulnerable to car-centric, capitalist dynamics, but the bike can also be instrumentalized differently to attack these dynamics. Such endeavours can be found online, but are especially well recorded by anarchist libraries, even further supported by personal knowledge and accounts from the people who work/volunteer at these places.

My findings from reading zines and talking to people led me to piece out three ways in which the bike is radically instrumentalized. I compiled this information in a zine, which I then distributed over the respective anarchist libraries I harvested the information from.

In-house designer and content specialist at OASE

2024 - digital, print

In my year of working at OASE I was responsible for creating promotional material such as posters, flyers, social media posts, reels, lightboxes and flags. For this I expanded on OASE’s existing brand identity relying heavily on a retro collage feel. For its monthly vintage market I used a flatter, illustrative style. And for its outdoor terrace that opened in 2024 I developed a new style within the brand to set the outdoor programming apart from the indoor programming.

Cosmos Graduation Show Identity

2023 - digital, project management

This theme for the 2023 UAL MADSISF degree show was ‘Bar Cosmos’, an interstellar bar where ideas, backgrounds and futures freely mingle. On the menu: different cocktails representing groups of projects such as the Finally Bloody Mary, for projects talking about feminism and futures, or Ginception and Tonic, for design that criticizes design.

As a visual project leader I designed the cocktails and oversaw the development of posters, stickers and our 'menu'.

T(O)PIAS Exhibition Identity

2023 - digital, 3d modelling

Together with Riddhi Savant I developed the visual language for the annual UAL MADSISF outdoor exhibit.

This year’s theme was ‘Topias’. Each student was asked to envision a future based on signs in the now. I decided to make a glass 3d icon for each individual project as main visuals. The icons are glossy and see-through like crystal balls. They invite us to look closer, try to make sense of the murky futures and 'nows’. Together, as shown on the poster I made, all icons showcase the dystopias and utopias that can be imagined.
